Ms. Weaver's second graders rolled dice to build a number for each place value on their HTO (Hundreds-Tens-Ones) chart. Then we used Cheez-Its for hundreds, pretzel rods for tens, and marshmallows for ones to build/represent our numbers! 🧀🥨☁️

Paws in Seat, Win a Treat!
20 Day Attendance Challenge
Teachers will assign a number to each student in the class. For the next 20 days, we will draw a number at 7:40. If the student is present in class when the number is drawn, they will report to the offices to pick their treat. Students must be in class at 7:40 when their number is drawn to win a treat.
At the end of the 20 day challenge, ALL students with perfect attendance will get ice cream.

Today, our first graders in Mrs. Danzey’s class took spelling practice to a whole new level! Instead of using paper and pencils, we practiced writing our spelling words in shaving cream! 🤩
The kids had so much fun practicing their words while also strengthening their fine-motor skills and letter formation. They loved getting their hands messy while learning—and we loved seeing those little brains hard at work! 🧠✨
Learning doesn’t always have to happen at a desk. Sometimes the best learning happens when we get messy, get creative, and have FUN! 💜🐾
