No cars can enter the carline lanes once the dismissal bell rings. Park in overflow (grass area), and remain in your car until you are directed by staff to enter the carline area for loading.
No cars can travel around the campus until the buses are fully loaded.
Carline lane 1 is reserved for Kindergarten only during dismissal.

First Day of School Transportation Bus Procedures
Please arrive a few minutes early to your assigned bus stop. Morning Carline Procedures-7:15-7:30 Follow the directions of the school staff directing traffic. Do NOT let any students out of the car until the staff instructs you to do so. 1st Day ONLY parking and walking students in... PREK-2nd preferred 7:30-7:50 Park on the grass area until staff has the carline CLEAR and REMAIN in your car until the carline is clear. At this point, staff will direct you to exit your car. Enter ONLY through the office doors. Staff will open the carline lot for parking once the carline is clear.

Drop off on Monday, July 21st will be in the back of the school, in the morning ONLY. Thereafter it will be in front of the school. Look for the signs. The teachers will be verifying your child's name on the roster before you leave. Remember they must be registered/enrolled for McDavid Jones in order to be on the roster. Meet the Teacher will be held in the gym Thursday, August 7th. Students must be registered by 7/31/25 to be placed on a class roll. This is a great time to bring school supplies, pick up clear backpack, purchase spirit shirts, pay the $5.00 school fee, and complete transportation forms.
We will stagger the times based on last name to assist with wait times. Follow the schedule below:
Last names with letters A-M 3:30-4:30
Last names with letters N-Z 4:30-5:30
If your family has students with multiple last names, pick one time to attend.

These are the last scheduled days to register your student for 2025-2026 McDavid Jones Elementary School. The dates are July 29th, 30th, 31st, from 2:30-4:30. Registration Online Registration MUST be completed prior to these dates. Visit mcpss.com for online registration.
