🔎 Find Someone Who… in Ms. Owens’ Class! ❤️

Such a fun way to get to know our classmates, make new friends, and learn what makes each of us special! 🥰✨ We had the best time finding classmates who matched each clue! #BeTheReason #MJE #MCPSS #LearningLeading #RaiseTheBar

After reading Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes, Mrs. Danzey’s class learned that our names are special because they are a part of who we are! Just like Chrysanthemum loved her name, we can be proud of our own names.

Most importantly, we learned that our words and actions can affect how others feel. We should always treat our classmates with kindness, respect, and caring hearts. We never know when a kind word or a friendly smile might make someone’s day better. #BeThe Reason #MCPSS #MJE #LearningLeading #RaiseTheBar

Mrs. Lofton's amazing class just had the most delicious math adventure! 🌈🥣 Together, students munched on colorful Froot Loops while practicing counting and number recognition—and guess what? Every single student was a superstar! When we learn as a team and make memories together, math becomes something we all celebrate. That's the power of our class! 🎉#MCPSS #LearningLeading #oneteamonegoal #MCPSS #MJEmathmeticians

Ms. Bullard's class had an amazing time reading "The Day a Monster came to School"! Together, the class worked as a team to create awesome class rules that everyone could follow. Then, each student got to design their very own monster—what a creative and fun way to bring the story to life! #mcpss #LearningLeading #oneteamonegoal #MJE #bethereason

Today Miss Ramsay’s class read “Giraffes Can’t Dance”. They talked about what it means to have a growth mindset and made a list of everything they can’t do yet, but want to do. Students then learned how to draw their own giraffe!

Help us welcome another fabulous addition to our faculty, a new first grade teacher. Here is a little introduction:

Hi! I’m Mrs. Davis, and I’m so excited to teach first grade! I recently graduated with my degree in Child and Social Development from the University of Mobile and have several years of experience working with elementary students. I love making learning fun, building relationships, and helping every child grow in confidence. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, cheering on my kids at the ballfield, drinking coffee, and reading a good book. I can’t wait for an amazing school year together!
